Star Thrill Ride. There are lots of ways to judge a young male for a possible future herd sire occupation. Here are a few points that are relevant: 1. Great phenotype-Thrill Ride has a great head and ears which are the first impressions of any llama. His color pattern of multiple colors are also of high visual appeal. Straight frame and high tailset. 2. Genetic evidence shows the same great ears his mother, Star Trilogy, has and this makes it more probable that his offspring would have this trait. Passing on various color patterns enhances viewing pleasure in any situation of future offspring. His Grand Dam, T.J.'s Three Peat, had 13 female and only 4 male offspring for us. If your intention is to make some female crias this might be an influencing factor. 3. Nature or nuture-Based on our early training with him he has a great attitude which is so important when choosing to create manageable offspring. Growing up on a farm that only raises llamas helps lock in the social fabric that they are llamas and act like llamas without any influence from other species interaction.
